As the label suggests this wine is made in a clay cement tank – a giant “egg” – the lees are continuously forced upward by an internal current resembling a vortex. This gives the wine voluptuousness, purity and texture. Rich and full-bodied with firm tannins and good acidity. The nose has notes of dark fruit, blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of spice and tobacco. On the palate, flavours of ripe fruit, chocolate and coffee. The finish is long and satisfying.
