Jerome Chezeaux is a beast of a man, who would look more at home in the middle of a rugby scrum than in a winery. Yet for such a big man he produces some of the most seductive wines you will find in the whole of Burgundy. Some of this wine is made from the off cuts of his Vosne Romanee vines, i.e. the young vines or barrels that are not quite good enough for the Grand Vin. Lovely dark berry fruits, great balance and real length and character for a wine of this value. Drink now or cellar for 5 years for a bit of extra depth.
