The original Malbec! The popularity of Argentinian Malbec owes much to its French relatives. This is a characterful and complex example from an estate that was recently elevated to Chateau status, which shows in the quality of this wine. Intense berry fruit aromas, flavours of plum, blackberry and lots of spicy oak with a small drop of 15% Merlot adding elegance and finesse. Food match: Red meats or pork in wine, cream or peppercorn sauce. Mature hard cheeses work nicely too.
