Lanzerac, established in 1692, is one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape. It’s an iconic cellar with a rich history and worldwide reputation for well-crafted quality wines. This wine is a tribute to the world’s first bottled Pinotage – a 1959 Lanzerac Pinotage, which captures their pioneering spirit.
Excellent deep colour, typical varietal aromas like ripe, plummy red fruit. A big mouth-feel, complex and velvety and a long, lingering aftertaste rounds this wine off perfectly. With 5 to 10 years maturation, this wine will start to acquire the velvety density and luxurious chocolate and caramel flavours for which its predecessors are known/
