Folding Hill is a boutique family producer dedicated to handcrafting Pinot Noir. Expat, Tim Kerruish is both the winemaker and owner and is making some seriously top flight wines from their 10 acre estate in Bendigo, Central Otago.
A gentle nose of dark Central Otago plums and cherries. Soft notes of toasted cedar display the 11 months of barrel ageing. On the palate, a core of deep dark fruits is balanced with hints of fresh late summer berries. The intimate touch of winemaking is evident in the light vanilla oak notes, subtle body and unassuming but long finish.
Drinking well now but will develop in the cellar for 10 plus years.
